Don't get shut down before you start. Most towns and municipalities will require a business license or permit in order to begin your home business. Don't overlook this as a nosy neighbor, or business competitor can call in an anonymous tip and cause you a stop work order and even a healthy fine. A home business also has unique requirements such as customers coming to your home or perhaps inventory for your business stored there.
